About

Picture
This website features photos and information for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad and other boat, train and plane related topics.  I regularly take pictures and some video of what is left of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, or GTW.  Currently, I am uploading my newest and most recent photos to the website, these photos are of higher quality compared to my older photos.  I will start to upload older pictures in the near future.  I also plan on providing more information about the current operations of the Grand Trunk Western.  Please check the site often as I will update it often.  It is becoming harder and harder to find locomotives still painted in the blue GTW paint scheme.  Even five years ago you would see, most trains in Michigan, being pulled by two GTW GP38-2s.  Now a days this has all changed.  Canadian National, who owns the GTW, has been repainted the old GTW power into CN paint.  As with most railroads that CN operated as subdivisions, the GTW is slowly fading away.  Within five years, the only thing left of the GTW will be the three letters below the  the numbers; G.T.W.
